Swinger’s takeover cruises have been around now for a few years, and I thought it was about time to put together some of the popular questions I get asked on a regular basis to help you decide if a swinger cruise is right for you.
Wondering what the atmosphere on the cruises is like?
Obviously each cruise is going to be a little different but generally… It is a 7 day party that starts before you even get on the ship. You should expect a party atmosphere if you like quite days relaxing on a beach listening to the ocean a swinger’s cruise is not for you! If you like to hang out talk, dance, have some drinks, meet people, and if you “click” take things to your room or a party room, then let’s keep talking!
What type of people go on a Swinger’s Cruise Takeover?
My findings have been that about 75% are swingers, in the true sense of the word — they have been with another couple in the past and are possibly looking to “hook-up” with someone while they are on the ship. The rest are nudists or are people who enjoy or are interested in being around a lot of sexual energy.
What age group goes on swinger cruises?
Like many swinger vacations, the cruises attract all ages from 21-81, but I would say the average would be 35-55 ish (with a core group of younger people). You do need to remember that we are talking about a ship with 1600+ people on it, so you should not have any trouble finding couples in your age range who are compatible.
Are Swingers cruises just for skinny people? Do you find there are lots of attractive people?
Since everyone has different standards of attractiveness, I am assuming your question is more of a “Do I have to be considered a ’10’ to come on the ship?”. Although there will be what I would consider some stunning people & some maybe no so much, you have to remember that with a pool of 1600+ people to approach and get to know in a casual atmosphere, your choices are far from limited. I would say in general people are more attractive and fit than seen at an usual club atmosphere, but there will be all kinds of people there.
Do you find the people to be more or less approachable on the cruises than at the swingers clubs? We’ve found the clubs to be a little cliquish at times.
You will find more people being quite approachable on a cruise because most are there on their own or with one other couple, so unlike people at your local swingers club they are not as cliquish. That being said if you don’t make the effort to meet people then you will see it differently. In my opinion you have to try really hard not to meet other people as everyone is potentially approachable. No one will be shocked at an offer to swing as all know this is not your parent’s cruise ship.
How do the theme nights work?
It wouldn’t be a swinger cruise without the ability to dress inappropriately The theme parties/dances are usually well thought out and a great way to meet people (by commenting on their costumes). No, it is not mandatory that you dress in theme, but it can be a LOT of fun.
What if we are VERY new to swinging?
The sexual ambiance on a swinger cruise is great even if you aren’t walking around looking to hook up all the time – I mean what’s the worst that could happen? You have to say “no thank you” to some advances. Talk about great for the ego. Take things slow, there will be other newbies like you, possibly even a meet and greet for new swingers.
What about getting sea sick?
I have never been sea sick but do know some people who suffer from it and still go on the cruises. There are so many different options today if you think you might be prone. Talk with your pharmacist about it and see. I would also recommend that you try to get a cabin on a lower deck and mid ship (towards the middle from the front-bow to the back-stern). Also DO NOT get an inside cabin, I would go as far as to recommend a balcony one, as the fresh air in your cabin also helps.
I hope this helps with some of the questions you may have had about going on a swinger cruise, these Lifestyle takeovers can be so erotic you deserve to treat yourself to one today.
